On Wednesday December, 20th, the students from UCNECT participated in their annual Holiday Party.

The party is put on by the UCNECT students…they create the invitations, collect RSVPs and make all of the fun holiday snacks.  In addition, the students rotate through game and craft stations.

This year some of the activities included, making holiday tiles, playing Christmas song Pictionary and throwing snowballs in Snowball Skeetball.   Approximately 40 students participate in the Holiday Party therefore plenty of helping hands are needed.

Thanks to the Leadership Mentors from the UALC, many students come to volunteer, engage with the UCNECT students, and assist in running the stations.  These opportunities allow for socialization, building peer relationships and understanding the differences of others.

This also helps the UALC Leadership students apply skills they have learned through their weekly mentoring program.
